The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its biggest innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It makes use of AI to identify objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's also the first to automatically send you a photo of the object it comes across to let you know to avoid it in the future.

2. Roborock Q5+

When you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, your best automatic floor cleaner option is probably one that is a hybrid. These robots come with a water tank so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. They also come with a variety of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance and even the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they can be pricey at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.

Roborock makes some of our favorite robot vacuum cleaner quiet vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is the least expensive model of their auto-empty line. While it may not have some of the more luxurious features (like no-go areas and multi-story memories) however, it's an excellent option for those who are willing to make a few compromises to save a few dollars.

The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes down to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it an excellent option for homes with many furniture pieces. It's also very thorough when it comes to cleaning dust bunnies, which is an area which many robot vacuums often be a bit sloppy. The Q5+'s navigation system is also top-quality, with a few misses along walls or in corners.

The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled via a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. Through the app, you can start and stop cleaning, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones and adjust your home map or change the labeling of rooms.

If you choose to purchase the Q5+, it ships with a new auto-empty dock specifically designed to make the machine easy to maintain. It features a large LCD screen that is very useful when setting up schedules and adjusting settings. This feature isn't required for everyone, but it can help easily keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively smart in both its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is among the best in the industry however it's quite expensive.

The base station looks nice and is easily hidden when not in use, and the size is relatively compact. The primary selling point of the station is that it can automate many tasks, functions and chores that other robots would leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot fully charged and clean.

Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive, too. It's the only robovac that I've used that has done a good job picking up debris from bare floors. It's also not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, which means it can get stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the house. It's also not able to climb stairs like other models and isn't equipped with a dock that can create a cleaning area for plush carpets.

While it doesn't offer the same amount of cleaning-related options in its app or as many shortcuts in the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for an all-around great mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the higher price tag.

However, if you're looking to save some cash, or just don't care about the limitations of this machine There are many other great choices available which include a variety of eufy models that cost substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example, is cheaper and offers an identical experience on the app with additional features such as stair climbing, a full-function dock, and superior overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy, a Anker company, has a track record of creating robot vacuums that strike the right balance between performance, features and price.
