Guide To Robot Vacuum Deals: The Intermediate Guide Towards Robot Vacu…

If you've ever wanted to purchase a robot vacuum, now is the time to get one. CNET's top-rated models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday with savings of up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping, with app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.
1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot vacuum to date. Its biggest innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste many other robots are unable to avoid (and often slough through). It's the first robot to provide you with pictures of the objects that it encounters, so you can tell that it is safe to avoid it.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop we have ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills quickly leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. It can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't clean in areas that you don't want. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop using your voice.
The design is also superior to the other models. It has an elegant, top piece that appears like an toy, not the loud and annoying robot. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt removal System also self-empties, which will cut down your cleaning time.
In our tests the j7+ was quick to pick up and remove dust, dirt and pet hair. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one spot instead of scattering it all over the floor. It even could catch small gravel and sand which other robots aren't able to do. And all of this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shedding.
The j7+, while not as intelligent as the Roomba S9 for $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot and can't clean the stairs, is an option for those who require both mopping and a vacuum. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable as other robotic vacuum cleaner best cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates and it can be difficult to determine whether they're functioning until you actually witness them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
When you're looking for a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your best choice is probably one that is a hybrid. These machines are equipped with a water tank so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. These bots also have various additional features, including smart mapping and small object avoidance and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, but they often come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock makes some of our top robot vacuums and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is their least expensive auto-empty model. While it lacks some of the premium features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great choice if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save a few hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeably soft around obstacles like table legs and walls, which makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It is also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums robot aren't able to meet. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is fantastic too, with very little missing in corners and along walls.
Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled with a few buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set up schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go areas or alter your home map, or re-label the rooms.
If you choose the Q5+ it includes a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once in place it can be accomplished with relative ease. It features a large LCD screen which is helpful in setting up schedules and adjusting settings. This feature isn't required for most people but it can help you to keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of vacuuming and mopping. Its design is one of the most innovative in the market, but it's expensive.
Its base station looks good and is easily hidden when not in use, and the size is quite compact. But the station's main selling point is how it automates various tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require this.
And its vacuuming is impressive and efficient, too. It's the few robovacs I've tested that do an excellent job of picking up debris on bare floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially when it comes to navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren’t as reliable as other robovacs. This means that it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the house. It's also not able to climb stairs like other models and isn't equipped with a dock to create a cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who want a robot vacuum that does it all.
If you're looking to save some money or simply don't care about the limitations of this robotic there are many other great choices available, including a lot of eufy models for considerably less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example, is cheaper and has many more features, like stair climbing and a full-function Dock, with the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on bare floors carpets, low-pile carpets and even high-pile ones.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of making cheap robot vacuum cleaner vacuums that strike a good balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning of hard floors as well as carpets and mopping function too at a reasonable price. It's simple to set up simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn on and plug in the charging dock. The app walks you through a few steps to connect it to Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. The dock must be placed near an outlet with enough space to move.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact, which means it can be placed under couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design is a little less ostentatious than some rival models, and features a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs a space in an arc for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.
The main feature that distinguishes the G30 above the rest is the way it cleans. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of the immovable objects in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and where it can't access. It then returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning where it left off.
The eufy G30 isn't without faults, though. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower cost of operation. It is faster to charge, has similar battery life and is more effective on bare flooring or carpet with a low pile. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't have to be emptied as frequently and comes with an array of boundaries to keep it away from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and it has less trouble with bulky materials such as cereal.
