This pushchair from Ickle Bubba is an excellent option for parents looking for an easy-to-use buggy that has enhanced features. It comes as a travel system, which includes a lie-flat carrycot designed for newborns, a multi-position forward and rear-facing pushchair seat and a selection of group 0+ car seat, so you can get everything you need in one package.

The XL Air is a very impressive buggy. It's easy to see why it has received the highest praise from its customers. It's incredibly light - both the wheels and chassis weigh just 6.5kg - and it's also easy to build. In fact I was able put it up and running in just five minutes, which is pretty impressive considering it included attaching the fabric for the carrycot!

The seat is spacious and comfortable for Annie who is just 12 months old. The recline lever was easy to operate. The basket is spacious with plenty of space, and I find it nice that the handle bar comes with pockets to keep your keys and phone safe.

The only downside is the handlebar is low, which could be an issue for taller parents. However, it's coated in a lovely leather-like material that is soft and comfortable and cleans down easily, so it's still easy to push even with bags and children on your hands!

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is designed for active parents who are eager to go out and explore. The large pneumatic wheels are able to be used on field and forest trails. The front wheel can be locked and can be swiveled to increase the flexibility. It also has a padded 5-point safety harness and a front bar to ensure your child is safe throughout your journey, while the parking brake is able to stop the stroller from moving while you are taking a break. The seat can be adjusted to lay down and the canopy can be opened for maximum air circulation during hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm to accommodate dad's or mom's heights.

Whether you're going for a quick jog or a hike that lasts a while The Runner will be there to accompany you on your journeys with a fully-flat lie-flat seat and suspension air wheels that promise an unhurried ride. The front 3 wheel stroller brands can be locked for greater stability on narrow streets and overcrowded sidewalks, and the stroller folds easily to fit into car boots and storage spaces.

The Runner 2 is a bit more difficult to navigate for some parents than its predecessor. Also the locking system (requiring two buttons on either on either side of the handlebar) isn't as user-friendly. The handlebars are higher than some competitors, and therefore may not be suitable for taller parents. However the stroller is strong and versatile and is a good option by families with active children.

The Pace is a great option from Red Kite, an affordable British brand which is known for its well-designed and no-fuss essentials for parenting. It's the newest - and priciest - version of their bargain light stroller range and, like the Ickle Bubba Aurora and Yoyo it's car seat-compatible which means you can use it from the beginning (the carrycot folds away).

The new Pace boasts some fantastic design touches such as a rose gold tint to the hood, chassis and stroller trims, which make it stand out from its competitors. The cream, grey, and tan fabrics in the stroller and the car seat are stylish and there is the option of adding the handle for the cover and bumper bar too.

It's suitable for babies up to a maximum weight of 22kg and the stroller seat easily converts from the carrycot into a 2-in-1 reversible mode, parent-facing or world-facing. The stroller seat has multi lying positions, a soft padded leg rest support and has an extendable sun canopy with hidden zip sections, a see through flap and a retractable sun visor section.

When folded when folded, the Pace measures 56 inches x 43cm and 32 inches, which is perfect for hand luggage on Easyjet and Ryanair. It's also easy to fold, thanks to two buttons on the handlebar's opposite side that just need to be pressed in and pop up.

The seat fabric is machine washable and the frame and faux leather grips are simple to wipe down. It is also quieter than other pushchairs, and I was comfortable using it in busy urban streets. A bonus feature is that it incorporates accessory points, meaning you can add footmuffs, parasols, changing bags and even a tray for snacks. You can also use the hood to block rain and wind, but it isn't particularly waterproof. It's a single pram however, you can also attach their Comfort Wheeled Board (not included) to give your child some extra legroom. It took around 20 minutes to set up the bassinet, and the same amount of time to transform it into the seat.
