Ever since the time of Moses, Christians have been writing books. These books have been written on stone, in codices, and on papyrus. They have been preserved since in scrolls and museums. Christians have read books that have shaped cultures, incited revolutions, sparked reform and reached the top of the New York Times Best Sellers list.

A. W. Tozer (1897-1963): Tozer was an American pastor who has devoted his life to Christianity. He has written more than 40 books, two of which are Christian classics, The Knowledge of the Holy and The Pursuit of God.

St. Augustine (354-430): Augustine was the bishop of modern-day Algeria. He wasn't born Christian, and his saga of conversion is one of the most well-known salvation stories. He is popular due to interest in controversial issues of Christianity in his day.

Jonathan Edwards (1703-1758): Not many Christians can accredit themselves with 16,000 pages. Edwards was very thoughtful and passionately wrote about his faith. His most famous work is the sermon "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God".

John Foxe (1516-1587): John was born in a time where it was common for Kings and queens to impose their religious preference on their populations. He responded by writing a book - Book of Martyrs.

John Calvin (1509-1564): John was a reformist, and many believe him to spark Martin Luther King and many others. He was very instrumental in forging a robust doctrine in Christian ministry. His most notable works are "Institutes of the Christian Religion", and "The Secret Providence of God".

John Piper (1946-Current): We had to include a modern Christian author, and there is no better than John. He was the head pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis. He has contributed to more than 100 books, but his most famous is "Desiring God".
