If you're looking to save money and don't need a stroller that can double as car seat carriers the Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It features a flip-flop-friendly one-step footbrake.

It's simple to push, and it feels solid when you are traversing kerbs and woodland trails. It's also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has built a reputation as the ultimate light-weight buggy for jet-setters and city dwellers alike, thanks to its extremely nimble handling and fold that fits in the overhead luggage of aeroplanes. The latest version has independent suspension on all four wheels constructed of Hytrel elastomer, allowing it to effortlessly traverse all terrains and types'.

The curved fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 frame and 6+ months colour pack combine to create a chic pushchair with a delicate elegant look. The frame itself weighs just under a kilo and is so light that you can lift it directly from the box (and do it with one hand).

It's also easy to attach or remove adaptors or attachments - the hood, for instance, snaps on to the YOYO2 by clicking and is machine washable at 30 degrees to prevent staining from rice cakes smushed and half-dissolved carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as prams. It could also be converted into a stroller after 6 months by using the YOYO connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great option for parents looking for a stroller that can be used in a variety of ways. The Evenflo Xplore can be converted from a stroller to a wagon by simply flipping the handle. Parents can then decide which one is the best single travel stroller fit for their needs. The wagon can accommodate one or two kids from 6 months to 5 years old, and it has a wide storage basket to accommodate everything you require on the go.

The Xplore has two canopies that can rotate from front to back, offering adequate sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell that's not as large or deep as some wagons, so it may not be suitable for long trips or napping.

The frame of the Xplore feels solid and sturdy however it doesn't have as much flexibility as other wagons we have tested. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the competition and does not secure when folded. It is easy to move, however, and fits through narrow doors of 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This basic double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents who want an affordable, second-hand travel stroller. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers & Multiples test for weight and size folded which means it's light, compact when folded and easy to move into a trunk of a car or closet. It also offers the option of reclining in multiple positions and a parent cup holder. Other features worth mentioning include two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling and 360-degree front wheels that are shock-absorbing.

It did better in our push and turn test than a lot of the strollers we tested, but was nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doors. Its sunshades were among the tiniest of strollers we tested. They only cover the top rated single strollers and do not have peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a significantly larger canopy.

It took us under 3 minutes to put together the Delta using a standard manual. All of the components required tools. However, it is missing some critical features we believe you should not compromise on in a double stroller, such as an extra-large basket, and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi’s newest pushchair, and is advertised as an urban travel system. It is suitable from birth to around 3.5-years-old. The seat and carrycot can be easily converted in a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats, and comes with the light Mico 30 infant car seat, a stay-incar base, and a reversible car.

It is really easy to maneuver and the one-hand recline of the seat as well as the super large shopping basket make it easy for parents to get their child in and out quickly. Although it is a small pushchair single, it was able to handle the everyday bumps well and was able to pass through doorways without any fuss.

The front wheels can to be locked in a forward direction and can also pivot. This is useful in rough terrain. While walking along the stony path we let them move and it performed well, although it seemed slightly bumpier than other models that we tested.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is most well-known for its three-wheeled, all-terrain, jogging strollers. But they also produce a wide selection of pushchairs with four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most loved model. It is easy to use and folds up small enough to fit in the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.

It's heavier than other strollers that we tested, but because it has rubber composite wheels it feels solid and well-made. It is easy to maneuver over various terrains and even with two children, a shopping bag and other things.

The seat and carrycot both come with hoods with pull-down UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are water-resistant and durable, unlike some other prams' hoods that get turned back into toddlers faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it does come with a huge basket that's big enough to hold an infant's changing bag and plenty of food items. It can also be connected with a Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a traveling system for babies up to 20 lb (car seat and adapters sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a good choice if you want to use a stroller on the go.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first appeared on the scene, it stole the hearts of parents across the world. It's an aluminum-framed stroller that can be used from baby's first days to beyond. It is a standout model with many unique features, such as the ability of the seat to be turned between the front facing parent and the outside and a huge UPF50+ canopy with a flip-out eyeshade, and an adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are tough and foam-filled which minimises punctures. The chassis is equipped with built-in suspension that eases the pain of rough terrain. It was simple to push and our tester was able to maneuver the car through narrow streets.

It folds down in four easy steps, and locks automatically without hassle. It can also be rolled and repositioned for easy transport down the stairs, or in the trunk of the car. It also comes travel system equipped with the ability to include a car seat or carrycot with the adaptors included. The brakes are simple to use with single push chair action colored and flip-flop-friendly.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget-friendly pushchair is simple to operate and features an excellent dual suspension. It can be folded with one hand and comes with a handy carrying strap. It's also lightweight and durable. The seat can be reclined in several positions. It has a built-in double-breathable mattress that can be used from birth.

The canopy/seat has two large sun visors, which can be either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn't great because it's not as quiet as Velcro and may wake napping babies.

The Duet is an angled stroller that can be used for twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and even works with a few carrycots. In twin mode the seats can be facing one another or rotate around to face the parents, theoretically cutting down on sibling fights over who gets to sit with mom and dad. It comes with a huge gear tray with a bottle holder as well as snack tray. It also has a compact stand fold, and an automatic frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban glide 2 is the perfect stroller for parents who like to be active. It's one of the lightest strollers you can purchase for your child. It also comes with excellent safety features such as five-point harnesses and a secure wrist strap. It also features an innovative twist hand brake that's distinct from the lever-type found on competing models.

The seat is well-padded and has a wide area to sit in, but the seat's depth is less than other joggers we've tested (it's approximately 10"). The storage bin is encased with a zipper that keeps things secure. It can hold up to 10 lbs. This is enough for the majority of diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with bassinets or infant car seats in the way it is, however you can use it right from the start with the purchase of adapters to most seats from brands like BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It is simple to fold and assemble in 5-10 minutes without any tools. The manual is easy-to-understand and includes multiple languages.
