Easy to Fold

The most effective combinations we've tested have a simple fold that's one-handed and sturdy enough to use on long strolls. They are also easy to maneuver and glide smoothly over uneven surfaces. Some combos are connected and removed using straps. This can be a bit like a second step, and can make it difficult for parents to secure their child's car seat properly.

The only downside is that they're heavy and can be difficult to lift when carrying a child in the car seat.

Easy to Assemble

Some stroller and car seat combinations can be difficult to put together. The UPPAbaby Cruz v2 Combo is one of the simplest travel systems to assemble. It comes with a handy guide. Other models, like the UPPAbaby Minu and UPPAbaby Vista V2 Thule urban Glide 2 and Baby Trend Snap-N-Go EX Universal were also relatively simple to assemble. In contrast the BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo is difficult to assemble because it requires two steps to assemble - attaching the lower anchors and using straps to cover the bottom portion of the carrier. It's also heavy, and it requires two hands to secure the carrier into the base and detach it from the base.

In our tests it took us around 5 minutes to put the UPPAbaby v2 together. This is relatively fast when you consider the amount of time it can save by not having to take out the pieces. The toddler seat can be attached and removed easily on the majority of these models.
