Guild Wars 2 Item upgrade item

Item upgrade, also called "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment boosts the stat linearly.

Players can recycle up to six items at a time to gain an indicator of the level of the upgraded components. The cost of recycling a piece of equipment increases depending on their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade to an item upgrader is a method to increase the stats of your armor and weapons. This can be accomplished by many different methods such as the use of upgrade components and also upgrading an item's mark levels or rarity. If you have a rune or glyph you don't want to use, but it's not been applied to gear yet, you can transfer the item to another piece by selecting the Upgrade Glyphs menu in the Glyphs Panel. Items that have been rerolled do not appear in the upgrade menu, however, they can still receive upgrades. These rerolled items can be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button which alters the layout of the item window and allows up to six items to be chosen to recycle. Recycling an item can add a small amount of points to its gauge of level. The amount is by the item's rarity and its level. Rerolling is an excellent method to improve an item upgrader. However, players must be aware that the total ilvl will be diminished by the number of that it took to reroll it to the final level. The reroll system has been criticized by players for being too expensive, and it would be more equitable to let players pay for it using money or food items that allows them to change their build without a lot of time and effort. The developers have no plans to introduce paid rerolls at this point in the game's development. Instead, they plan to include a race change potion in the near future.

Leveling
